CTE Open House

On Oct. 21, the Utica City School District hosted the fall Career and Technical Education (CTE) Open House for current eighth-, ninth- and tenth-grade students and their families. The event introduced attendees to the CTE pathways available within the district and the opportunities these programs provide for future education and careers.

Families had the opportunity to learn more about the district's CTE programs and connect with business and industry partners representing each pathway. These partnerships highlighted the important connection between classroom learning and real-world career opportunities.

The Utica City School District's Career and Technical Education program offers students hands-on, real-world learning across 12 specialized career pathways developed in partnership with over 250 local businesses to prepare them for higher education and high-demand workforce careers. The state-of-the-art CTE wing at Thomas R. Proctor High School welcomed its first cohort of students in Fall 2025.

Thank you to all the families, business and industry partners, teachers and staff members who participated and helped showcase the valuable opportunities available through UCSD's CTE programs.
