On August 24 and 25, John F. Kennedy and Donovan Middle Schools held their student walkthroughs, welcoming families, incoming students and staff to the schools. These walkthroughs provided a valuable opportunity for everyone involved to connect, navigate the buildings and prepare for the upcoming school year.
During the walkthroughs, students toured classrooms and hallways, located their lockers and familiarized themselves with daily routines. School leaders, teachers and support staff were on hand to answer questions, guide visitors through the facilities and foster a welcoming, supportive environment.
These interactive events play a key role in easing back-to-school transitions across the District. A special thank you goes out to the dedicated teachers, administrators and staff members whose hard work, enthusiasm and preparation made these events such a success. By opening classroom doors ahead of the first bell, the team helps build student confidence, strengthen community connections and set a positive tone for a successful year ahead.
