MLK Sixth Grader Receives Optimist Award

MLK sixth-grader Say Pleh Tam La Hsoe received the Optimist Award presented by the East Utica Optimist Club. Say Pleh was recognized for her positive attitude, leadership and perseverance.

Say Pleh is a ray of sunshine at MLK and is most deserving of this award. The Optimist Creed states, “Be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.” Those words aptly describe Say Pleh’s attitude and mindset.

We could not be prouder to have such a leader in our school. Congratulations, Say Pleh! You will be missed next year!
